Ayurveda is a system of health care, its origin dates back to pre-Vedic era. The term Ayurveda means science of life. It deals with Physical, Mental, Social, and Spiritual welfare of human beings. Ayurveda aims at prevention, management of diseases, and promotion of health. Ayurveda is more than a mere healing system, it is a science and art of appropriate living that helps to achieve longevity.
Ayurveda is having its own philosophical and biological humours ,to understand normal physiology, pathology and the disease state & its management by correcting food, lifestyle and using different herbal formulations. The knowledge consists of three aspects known as the Tri-Sutras of Ayurveda, which are – etiology or the science of the causes of disease, symptomatology or the study and interpretation of symptoms, and medication i.e., herbal remedies. Ayurveda uses the inherent principles of nature to help maintain health in a person by keeping the individual’s body, mind, and spirit in perfect equilibrium with nature.
